Frequently asked questions

Common questions about VitalForg, the demo and working with us.

What is VitalForg?

VitalForg is performance-data software for sports organizations. It brings session, morning wellness and testing records together, calculates workload and recovery indicators, flags changes against each athlete’s own baseline and produces period reports.

Who is it for?

Organizations that manage athlete performance data: professional teams, performance and training facilities, sports science teams and academies, for athletes aged 18 and over. It is not a consumer fitness app.

Is the demo real data?

No. The demo uses a synthetic dataset of fictional teams and athletes, generated so every visitor sees the same records. It does not describe any real team, athlete or result.

Does VitalForg use AI or machine learning?

Yes. One check, “Unusual morning pattern”, uses a machine-learning model: an isolation forest that learns what normal combinations of morning HRV, resting heart rate, sleep and soreness look like in your workspace and flags weeks with several rare mornings for staff review. It is trained only on your own workspace’s records, in your browser, and is never shared with other customers. Each flag is labelled as machine learning. The other checks are transparent calculations, fixed rules and statistical comparisons. Every flag explains why it was raised, in plain language built from the calculated values shown with it. See Methods for the model’s inputs, evaluation and limitations.

Does VitalForg predict injuries or give medical advice?

No. Flags highlight changes worth a conversation. They are not injury predictions or clinical assessments, and decisions about health should involve qualified medical staff.

What data sources does VitalForg work with?

The demo shows session logs, RPE, GPS distance, morning HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, soreness and countermovement-jump tests. Signed-in workspaces bring in session logs, wellness readings and test results from CSV files or through the data import API, and every record is checked before anything is saved. VitalForg does not connect directly to wearable vendors’ accounts: data from a device comes in through its CSV export or the API. Workspaces currently accept synthetic test data only. You can try a CSV check in the demo; it runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.

Can we bring our own athletes’ data?

Workspaces currently accept synthetic test data only. Contact us to discuss your organization’s requirements.

Does VitalForg hold security certifications?

No. VitalForg does not hold formal security or compliance certifications. The Security page sets out the controls in place.
